What does a postpartum doula actually do?
I’m here to support you in the early weeks after birth - practically, emotionally, and gently. That might look like holding your baby while you shower, preparing nourishing food, guiding you with breastfeeding, helping you rest, or simply sitting with you through the big feelings that come with becoming a parent. My role is to make your transition into motherhood feel held, calmer, and more supported.

Do you support partners as well as mums?
Absolutely. Partners are such an important part of the postpartum journey, and they often need reassurance and guidance too. I help them feel confident, involved, and equipped to support you and your baby. This creates a more connected, peaceful start for your whole family.
-
I’m not sure how much support I’ll need -how do I know what to book?
Most families don’t know exactly what they’ll need until baby arrives - and that’s completely normal. We’ll chat about what support feels right for you, and I offer flexible packages that can be adjusted as we go. My care is always tailored to what your body, baby, and home truly need in the moment.
-
Are you trained and insured?
Of course! I am continuously undergoing more training and further self development to keep my offerings as full as possible. I’ve supported many mums and babies in a variety of situations - from local daytime visits to longer live-in support - and I bring a calm, confident presence to every home I enter. All qualifications, insurance, and references are available on request.

Do you travel outside of Chichester?
Yes - I happily travel up to around 45 minutes from Chichester for daytime postpartum support. If you’re unsure whether you’re in my area, just send me a message and I’ll let you know. I also occasionally offer live-in support for families further away, including London.

Every family’s needs are different, so my pricing is designed to be flexible and fair. I charge a simple hourly rate, and you can book support in blocks or as part of a package depending on what feels right for you.
Care starts from £30 an hour - please check out my packages for more detail.
